If you have LOS and Stay Restrictions (such as CTA, CTD, ST) applied in your PMS and/or RevMax, here is how they work together. First, here are the abbreviations and terminology break-down.
Restriction | MLOS | CTA | CTD | ST |
---|---|---|---|---|
Terminology | Minimum Length of Stay | Closed to Arrival | Closed to Departure | Stay Through |
Definition | Minimum number of nights required to arrive on that day. | Blocks arrivals for that specific day. | Blocks Departures from that specific day. | Changes the MLOS for that day to be applied to any reservations that is staying on that day, not just to reservations checking in that day. |
Example | If a guest wants to book a 6 night stay, and you have a 7 LOS, then they will not be able to book a reservation. | If a guest tries to book a stay and depart on a day with CTD applied, they will not be able to book that stay. | If a guest tries to book a stay and depart on a day with CTD applied, they will not be able to book that stay. | If you have a 5-night MLOS on a Monday, any reservation that would stay through that Monday will require a 5-night stay (even if other nights during that stay have a shorter MLOS) |
Streamline PMS Users:
- RevMax Stay Restrictions will override your PMS stay restrictions on your Tape Chart.
- Keep in mind that LOS Maps are "King." Those will override ALL restrictions on your RevMax Tape Chart and your PMS Tape Chart.
- The only exception is the LOS settings within your Seasons on the Daily Restrictions tab (such as Sat - Sat stay or 7 night required) will not be overridden by RevMax stay restrictions.
- The General tab settings will be overridden by RevMax restrictions applied:
- RevMax will NOT override The Daily Restrictions settings:
