Dynamic Minimum Nights and Gap Logic are tools within the RevMax system that help you optimize your minimum night stay requirements.
What’s the Difference?
- Dynamic Minimum Nights automatically adjusts the minimum length of stay based on how far in advance a guest is booking. This allows you to set more flexible rules that adapt over time, encouraging longer stays during high-demand periods and shorter stays as the arrival date approaches.
- Gap Logic, on the other hand, is designed to fill small gaps between existing reservations. If a gap opens up that’s shorter than your current minimum night rule, Gap Logic can override that rule to allow a booking that perfectly fits the space.
Which Rule Takes Priority?
While both rules can be active at the same time, Gap Logic takes precedence over Dynamic Minimum Nights. This means that if a gap between bookings is shorter than the minimum stay set by your dynamic rule, Gap Logic will override it to allow the booking.
Important Note: Any manual overrides applied to the Final/Top Night Minimum will take precedence over the availability rules configured under Night Minimums. This includes Dynamic Minimum Night and Gap Logic rules.
