RevMax will now have a Base Night Minimum Logic so users can still apply nightly minimum changes AND Gap Logic along with Dynamic Minimal Nights would still apply for the final output of nightly mins

This new feature will function just as rates have a base (rate) and final rate but instead, it will implement a Base Min Stay and Final Min Stay.

In the past, if there was a season night minimum of 7 from your PMS system to RevMax AND you manually reduce it to 5, then a gap for 2 nights occurs; the system will NOT apply gap logic because the 7 nights has been overridden and this supersedes Gap Logic or DMN (Dynamic Minimum Nights.

Now you can change the nightly min and the Gap Logic and Dynamic Min Night rules will still apply on top of your new base night min.

Example: This unit has a base night min of 2 which came from the season level, but it also has a gap logic rule set to "1" to fill single night gaps:

But if we manually changed the base night min to 3 nights for that period, the bottom appears as an override but the Final Night min (Top) is set to 1 since Gap Logic is still active:

On other dates outside of the Gap Logic Rule, the 3-night min will be applied.

  • The same principle goes for Dynamic Minimal Nights.
  • Floor Min Stay will still supersede all, except when Gap Logic applies.

How to use Base Night Min Stay:

Step 1: Make sure you have all your floor min stays implemented to protect you from lower-than-expected night mins:

  • Go to Homes Settings>Set Floor Min stay to “1” (this case).

Step 2: Set your Gap Logic:

  • Go to Homes Settings>Gap Logic or Go to Tape Chart>Availability Rules>Gap Logic
  • In this example we have it set to "2".

Step 3: Make your manual overrides in Base Night Min Stay:

  • You can do this on the tape chart in this case it was changed to 7 manually for that period:
  • Or through the Change All Feature on the tape chart:
  • The result is you have a manual override of 7 nights but Gap Logic is still occurring allowing a 2-night stay:
  • The same goes for Dynamic Min Nights where in this case a rule was set for 12 days out changed to 2 night mins:
  • On the tape chart, the Dynamic Minimum Night rule is applying on top of the 7 base night min stay override:
Floor Min Stay Rules will still supersede all, except when Gap Logic applies.
