How will my pricing be affected by the Length of Stay Map?

  • Length of Stay Pricing will consider any STAY night that the LOS map touches
  • Length of Stay Pricing is not based on check in or check out
  • Length of Stay pricing will apply when any reservation reaches a number of days defined on the map, AND stays on any date defined on the map, regardless of check in or check out.

How will Length of Stay Pricing affect my CTA/CTD stay controls?

There are two settings in RevMax to configure how Length of Stay pricing will work with your CTA/CTD stay controls. These are:

A. Allow CTA/CTD to be overridden for any dates where you have Length of Stay pricing applied.

B. (Preferred Method) Do not allow CTA/CTD to be overridden by Length of Stay Map.


Both of these settings must be set up by RevMax Support to confirm the correct strategy is applied for your company, please reach out to RevMax Support. For examples of how both of these options work, please see the examples below:


Example 1: Booking period is defined in the LOS map and applies to pricing. CTA/CTD restriction is overridden.


RevMax Settings: 

  • CTA/CTD is applied for the dates 11/02 - 11/03/2024
  • LOS backend settings allow CTA/CTD to be overridden.




Length Of Stay Map: 

  • A 3-night stay length with 15% markup is defined on the map, for the dates 11/01-11/20/2024. 
  • You can also see a note that alerts you about LOS overriding or disabling CTA/CTD restrictions from working.

Test booking dates: 

  • 11/02-11/05/2024 falls on a period being set in the LOS Map and shows that check-in was allowed on 11/02/2024 even if CTA is applied for that date. 
  • The 15% markup is also applied to the rates ($800 + 15% = $920).

 



Example 2: Not all dates in the booking period are defined in the LOS Map and CTA/CTD restriction set on the dates not included is still overridden.


RevMax Settings: 

  • CTA/CTD is applied for the dates 11/02 - 11/03/2024
  • LOS backend settings allow CTA/CTD to be overridden.



Length Of Stay Map: 

  • A 3-night stay length with 15% markup is defined on the map, for the dates 11/04-11/20. 
  • You can also see a note that alerts you about LOS overriding or disabling CTA/CTD restrictions from working.
  • Please note that 11/0-11/03 is not included in the map.

 

Test booking dates: 

  • Check-in is allowed on 11/02/2024 even if CTA is applied for that date.
  • You can also see the difference in the rates for this booking. Since 11/02-11/03 is not on the LOS Map, the rate is still the normal daily pricing at $800, and the 15% markup is applied to 11/04/2024, which is included in the period set on the LOS Map ($800 + 15% = $920). 



Example 3. LOS will NOT apply, CTA/CTD is honored.

RevMax Settings: 

  • CTA/CTD is applied for the dates 11/02 - 11/03/2024
  • LOS backend settings do NOT allow CTA/CTD to be overridden.



Length Of Stay Map: 

  • A 3-night stay length with 15% markup is defined on the map, for the dates 11/01-11/20. 
  • Since the backend settings no longer allows CTA/CTD to be overridden, you can no longer see the note/alert.


Test booking dates: 

  • Check-in is restricted on 11/02/2024 which means CTA is applied for that date.
