Advanced Booking Restriction is a feature where you can utilize the Dynamic Minimal Nights (DMN) Rule in a reverse way to prevent bookings from arriving within your preferred number of days.

How to setup an Advanced Booking restriction:

  • You can setup DMN Rules from the RevMax Tape Chart page, using the Availability Rules button.

Let's dive deeper into how this rule comes into play! Check out the examples below:

Example 1: If you have a home with HOA (Home Owners Association) policy that requires guests to be
registered with them 9 days prior to check-in, you can setup the DMN rule with 365 days Minimum Stay within 9 days of arrival. This will block that listing from being found until 10 days out from their booking date.

Create a new rule that within 9 days of check-in, a guest must stay 365 nights, or they cannot book.

Example 2: If you have a home that tends to attract last-minute bookings for party groups and is difficult for your Operations/Housekeeping teams to turn quickly, you need at least 4 days advanced notice to ensure you can have that home ready for the next guest. This will block that listing from being found until 4 days out from their booking date.
